Support for the Holiday Programme at Burgschule Neuenrade
The team of educators and supervisors at the OGS has prepared a varied and enriching programme for the first three weeks of the summer holidays. The schedule includes numerous engaging activities and local excursions designed to offer the children meaningful and memorable experiences.
The programme begins with a “Summer Olympics”, followed by a treasure hunt through the forest. Further highlights include visits to Dortmund Zoo and Panorama Park – exciting outings for the 56 children taking part.
To ensure the children are easily identifiable during excursions, Echterhage Holding arranged for the production of 60 caps bearing the primary school’s logo.
“Even in a large park like Panorama Park, I can easily recognise our pupils – even if someone walks 200 metres ahead,” explains Kerstin Braselmann, the newly appointed educational lead of the OGS. “In addition, the matching caps help us present a unified appearance and enhance our visibility as a group from Burgschule.”
Anja Echterhage presented the caps to Ms Braselmann in the school garden.
Further Financial Contribution for the Programme
In total, Echterhage Holding donated €1,000. The cost of producing the caps amounted to approximately €615. The donation was subsequently rounded up, meaning the OGS now has an additional €385 at its disposal to support the holiday programme.
“With this amount, we’ll be able to treat the children to an ice cream during outings in the summer heat – a small gesture that adds to the enjoyment,” Ms Braselmann remarks.
Burgschule relies on external funding to offer such special programmes. The team is therefore especially appreciative of this generous support:
“We are sincerely grateful to Echterhage Holding for the generous donation and the thoughtful gesture of providing the caps,” says Kerstin Braselmann.
